A major part of the philosophy of FSX Planner is that the interface should be easy to understand and to use. With the adoption of this new ribbon menu concept, we hope that FSX Planner is now easier to use than ever before. The large icons make it easier to select the right tool or option. The newly expanded tool tips make it easier than ever to understand a tool's use and potential. The five menu tabs are discussed below: Tools Options Display Compile Help Tools menu: This menu contains all the CAD tools necessary to create your airport. ![]() The Runway, Taxiway and Parking icons reveal sub menus that allow for the selection of the precise option you are looking for:
Options menu: This menu presents an easy way to access all the options FSX Planner has to offer for working with airport navigation, utility tools, connecting to FSX, as well as the clipboard and history display. ![]() The Plane Make sub menu allows you to easily select a plane to display on your airport, allowing you to easily check for appropriate clearances. ![]() Plane Make Menu Display menu: This menu allows you to easily see and control which parts of the airport are being displayed. Simply click on the icon to toggle its corrisponding display on and off. ![]() Compile menu: This menu contains all the options necessaty to error check and clean up your airport before compiling as well as the actual compilation options. ![]() Help menu: This menu contains access to various help pages. These pages are intended to explain various functions with FSX Planner. You can read these all at once or as necessary. It is advised that you read the four help pages in Basic Help section as this will greatly improve your FSX Planner experience. ![]() |
