Unit Type Wizard
|
LPS's Unit Type Wizard allows for the viewing and selection of lighting instruments from
major manufacturers. Each instrument is displayed with its name, default wattage, optional
wattages, default template size, optional template sizes, color frame size, weight, beam angle,
field angle, candlepower and a picture.
A photometrics diagram is provided for each focus setting of the unit. This includes the
specific beam angle, field angle and candlepower rating for that focus. A slider underneath
the diagram allows you to set a specific throw distance. The photometric information for
that distance is then displayed in the diagram. This display can be viewed using feet and
footcandles or meters and lux.
The manufacturer's information is also provided for each instrument, complete with their
address, phone and fax numbers and web site address.
The instruments can also be displayed in a catalog format through the Unit Type Catalog
Wizard. This makes it easy to quickly compare different instruments within a category.
The categories are based upon the manufacturer's designations.
The Unit Type Wizard is designed to act as a browsing tool and as an additional way to
select instruments. In the latter case, once a selection is made that instrument is then
inserted into the appropriate place in the paperwork.
Selecting an instrument from the Unit Type Wizard also sets the color frame size, template
size, number of circuits per unit, number of frames per circuit and any special attributes,
such as moving light channels, in your paperwork. This ensures that all this information is
correct, allowing you to focus on the more important aspects of the lighting process.
The bottom of the Unit Type Wizard displays the total number of the particular unit in stock,
the number currently used in the show and the number remaining. This information is determine
through the show's Stock Inventory.
